Cone of Experience

      




 





              As teachers to be, we are supposed to be a an extra-miler. Yes, extra-miler, it's because we are doing multifarious functions in order to  provide good teaching-learning process. It is our nature to be creative enough in the teaching profession. Through the cone of experience by Edgar Dale, we can now use various techniques and  strategies so that we may be able to promote students learning.The Cone of experience is categorized into three, the enactive, iconic and lastly symbolic. It is in our preference as teachers what to used in the lesson proper. For an instance, if we like to introduce the English alphabet to our pupils, we can use the symbolic for them to easily grasp the lesson we are trying to input to them. We should also consider the situation of the classroom setting so that we may be able to apply the right strategy for the class.
         
             As you can observed that direct purposeful experience is being placed at the bottom part of the cone. It is because it is the level that proposed to the idea of  " learning by doing". Hence, we can conclude that it is the basic part of the cone in which it is effectively used. However, the peak part of the cone is the verbal. Because it is used to determine the capacity of how the students have learn. So, we can say that Cone of Experience is really a big help in part of the teachers.

Systematic Approach to Teaching

     


          As future educators, we are supposed to be computer literate individual. Why? It is because we are one of the channels of education and it is very much disgusting if we ourselves are ignorant about this. By using the new technology of today, we may able to hasten and develop the learner's mind. Of course we are supposed to supplement the students with the best quality of teaching we can offer to them. Not just purely depending on what technology could offer but also making your own methods and techniques on teaching.

          In making the lesson plans, we should very much careful on making it, because somehow it could affect the learner's thinking and understanding. Aside from that, we can also search for more effective ways on promoting education to them. Knowing our objectives is also one factor that contribute to the effectiveness of teaching. We should also consider the uses of different instructional materials in introducing the lesson to the learner so that the knowledge acquisition would not be hard for them. Also, we should very much particular to the procedures in the classroom setting so that the lesson proper would just go simultaneously. A teacher could also recognize the students difficulties and do remedial classes after knowing it.

         So as teachers to be, we are expected to taught the students the lesson in a systematic way so that we may be able to cope up the expectation of the stakeholders of the child's education.
